**Summary**:
Provides engineering support to assigned areas in Systems Engineering supporting manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, and facility operations.
Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth. The Systems Engineer will be supporting the Manufacturing Server Infrastructure team.
Responsible for server OS patch deployment as well as patching standards and processes to maintain server health across the enterprise environment with focus on the Microsoft Configuration Manager Application - SCCM.
Interfaces with Security, Application, Network and other teams to coordinate Windows/VMWare patching deployments.
Create and maintain operational procedures as needed to ensure patching success rates and will be the main point of communication for security patching.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the development, testing, and implementation using approved standards and methodologies in their assigned areas.
- Attends and provide updates at daily/weekly/monthly required meetings. Understand and adhere to all safety procedures.
- Understand, adhere, and champion software and hardware standards for their assigned area.
- Understand, adhere, and champion the technology roadmap for the organization in their assigned areas.

- Implements and maintain "Best in Class" approaches/practices for enterprise patch management and deployment.
- Works with and manages cross-functional teams to identify operational procedures and best practices in accordance with patch management strategy. Ensures overall service levels for server uptimes through patch management standards, enterprise images, and driver packages.
- Employs continual service improvement through monthly and quarterly patch management metrics reviews.
- Analyzes trend data to identify potential patch related issues on various images and assists teams in troubleshooting to implement any resolutions/improvements needed for proactive resolution.
- Communicates patch management process and procedures, working practices, and changes to internal teams and customers.
- Updates and maintains enterprise patch maintenance windows with the business.
- Develops automation scripts and programs to streamline manual patch operations and improve mean time to deliver and first-time right metrics.
- Provides technical support and consultation to teams and customers as needed.
- Knowledge of Active Directory support and deployment of domains and related services including Group Policy Objects, DNS, user account administration. Knowledge of Virtualization technology including VMWare or Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Clustering and VMware vCenter implementation for enterprise deployments.
- Performs architecture reviews, infrastructure design and builds, and maintenance and support activities for System Center Configuration Management (SCCM) and WSUS patching systems.
- Also supports Microsoft SCCM Operations Manager and VMM Virtual Machine Manager Software in the support of building and deploying virtual servers. Supports the creation and deployment mechanisms w/ SCCM of standardized workstation images.
- Coordinate monthly Windows patching deployments as well as scheduled Linux/Unix deployments and VMWare updates.
- Attends high-severity change patch maintenance windows and assists in documenting completion of the change.
- Defines and assesses patching service levels and success rates.
- Maintains ticket queues for new patching or change requests
- Supports the determination of patches needed as well as the implementation of corrective actions.
- Knowledge of Backup Support, Management and deployment. Veeam solution knowledge a plus.
- Understanding of VDI solutions, Microsoft RDS, Desktop virtualization deployment and support.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- 2 or more years of related Technical experience.
- Ability to work semi-autonomous in complex environment
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent Technical experience or certification.
- In addition, office productivity tools i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project are required.
- Advanced English level.
