Technical Project Manager - Senior Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computing, Industrial Engineering, MBA, or equivalent work experience, preferably in a large, international corporate manufacturing environment. Process improvement and reengineering experience is required. Excellent English speaking and comprehension skills are essential.
PMI certification is a plus.
APICS, Six Sigma, or other certifications are also a plus.
Experience: This role will be responsible for project management of multiple projects within the IT Global Business Service team. Projects will vary in size and complexity, focusing on specific business areas or functions.Some projects will involve business process changes and IT aspects, targeting productivity improvement, cost reduction, total cost of ownership reduction through improved system architecture, and compliance enhancement.Expected to work closely with business stakeholders and become a trusted advisor in technology, solutions development, and process improvement execution.You will work collaboratively and cross-functionally to support the successful execution of all approved and agreed projects, regularly reporting progress and status to project management.Knowledge: Strong project management skills with proven results, showing the ability to influence, work with cross-functional teams, and integrate disparate resources into a high-performing team.Excellent systems acumen, preferably with IT and Oracle experience.Proven record in identification and delivery of process improvements.Experience or exposure to key business functions, preferably in an international or complex business environment.Skills: Ambition and drive; a self-starter with a "can do" attitude.Intellectual focus with good organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing environments and demands.Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.Continually seeks to identify process improvements and manage resulting changes effectively.Ability to quickly gain respect and credibility from peers by delivering successful quick-win projects or improvement actions.Responsibilities: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with both business and IPM to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and schedule potential new project work within a portfolio roadmap. This includes analyzing requests and ideas for projects and developing recommended solutions to business issues.Take ownership and demonstrate clear leadership of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with and leveraging the IT Governance process to effectively communicate project expectations (requirements, priorities, resources, cost-benefit analysis, risks, etc.), progress, and status to the project team and management in a timely manner.Work closely with IPM to contribute to and maintain a standard Governance, Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), and Direct Charge methodology. Ensure consistent application of the Governance, PMLC, and Direct Charge methodology for all assigned projects from initial concept, design, execution, to post-project review.Manage assigned projects to achieve successful on-time execution of project deliverables through personal leadership and by providing appropriate coaching support to other team members in line with project plans, particularly in identifying and resolving potential barriers.Become a subject matter expert in the specific project processes that are the subject of improvement efforts to enable closer partnership and involvement of IT with Business at all levels. Manage the preparation of detailed analysis and documentation to support knowledge transfer and sharing.Work Environment: Normal office environment, with periodic international travel required.
