Overview:
ATE Technician is responsible for installation, verification, calibration, preventive, corrective maintenance and improvement of test equipment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Addresses issues related to test equipment.
- Installs and validates test equipment.
- Prepares, manufactures and improves test equipment.
- Calibrates and verifies test equipment.
- Analyzes, diagnoses and repairs test equipment,
- Design simple test equipment
- Responsible for external equipment calibration services
- Provides corrective and preventive maintenance to test equipment.
- Prepares corrective and preventive maintenance instructions.
- Prepares IDPs for use of the test equipment.
- Maintains test equipment database updated.
- Controls standards/Golden.
- Control of parts and spare parts of test equipment.
- Evaluates problems found in the product to detect equipment failures.
- Other activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year experience in maintenance and operation of electronic equipment.
- Maintenance and operation of electronic test equipment.
- Knowledge in identification of electronic components and production materials.
- Read and understand electrical diagrams.
- Electrical and mechanical installations.
- Interpretation of product specifications (datasheets)
- Fault tracing
- Knowledge of electronic test equipment such as: multimeter, frequency counter, spectrum analyzer, power supplies, RF power meter, Hipot analyzer, oscilloscope, RF generator, audio analyzer.
- Welding electronic components (PTH, SMD, SMT).
- Metrology (preferred)
