Role Overview:We are expanding our technology operations in Mexico City and are looking for a dynamic Technology Manager to join our team. As a Technology Manager, you will lead and manage our growing technology operations in Mexico City. This role offers the opportunity to build and scale the operation by hiring top talent, managing a defined budget, and acting as a supportive leader for our Mexico-based technology team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and team-building abilities, along with demonstrated experience in technology management. Key Responsibilities:Direct line management of Mexico-based team members including Software Engineers, Service Desk Agents, Cloud Platform Engineers, and Quality Assurance Engineers.Coordinate the hiring of technology team members with support from Discipline Leads.Manage the operational budget for the Mexico technology office.Coach, lead, manage and mentor teams of engineers across various disciplines (back-end, front-end, quality, cloud, etc.).Work closely with colleagues across other functions including Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Delivery to ensure the team are operating at a high level.Ensure a good understanding of the needs of the business and develop and execute a plan to scale our operation in Mexico.Directly support the needs of team members and intervene when necessary to remove roadblocks and resolve dependencies.Contribute toward resource planning.Continuously enhance your knowledge base and skillset to best support team members. Key Requirements:Experience building and managing a multi-disciplinary technology team, ideally in a hybrid environment.Experience working in a matrix style organization where partnerships with other leaders is paramount to success.Building teams from the ground up by creating a hiring plan and managing the interview/selection process.Experience building a budget and executing against plan.Servant leadership with a demonstrated ability to elevate the performance of others.General experience working on cloud solutions in Azure/AWS/GCP.Familiar with agile methodology.Fluent English speaker and presenter.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond to tight deadlines.Experience in creating detailed support and technical material.Being a team player Desirable SkillsExperience delivering software and the software development lifecycle.Experience working in the Atlassian stack (Confluence, JIRA, BitBucket).Knowledge of local labour laws in Mexico.A good grounding in technical theory and practice
