We are looking for a Laboratory Quality Technician to join our team. Based in the City of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, reporting to the supervisor, you will be responsible for performing product dimensional designs, annual designs, and production validation testing; must calibrate the equipment and perform statistical analysis, as well as verification of the meters by MSA. You will be required to read and interpret drawings and will need USCAR21 and USCAR38 training. Must comply with ISO14001 CURRENT VERSION V environmental requirements and IATF 16949:2016, ISO45000 and ISO14000 system requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Give support to production lines when the quality auditor requires support to carry out inspection audits, according to the procedure, interpretation of drawings.
- Use of the measuring equipment necessary to meet the requirements of the drawings, tape measure, vernier, micrometer, pull tester, multimeter, Hi-pot test and OGP equipment.
- Auditor of the requirements of the quality management system and material inspection status, adherence to the non-conforming material procedure for areas that require sediment testing.
- Participation in the multidisciplinary team for quality problems for process improvement.
- Support for PPAP folder requirements.
- Development of layer audit.
- Internal auditor of IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015
- Training in interpretation of plans.
- USCAR21 and USCAR38 release studies.
- Contamination testing studies.
Who are we looking for?
- Minimum High School.
- At least 1 year of experience in the quality department and/or equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of mathematical operations
- Knowledge of conversion of measurement units
- Basic knowledge of computer use.
- Vernier, Micrometer, Multimeter, Tape measure, Measurement Equipment and specific customer requirements.
- Observation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow quality procedures and provisions
- Ability to make immediate decisions on the line to report situations that put product quality at risk.
