**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Receive requests for tooling and respond in a timely manner.
- Manage versatility for the integration of changes or improvements to tooling in the internal workshop as well as with external resources.
- Elaboration of designs and manufacture of special tooling, spare parts, gauges and mechanical parts of machinery required by the Production, Maintenance and/or Quality areas.
- Validate tooling in a timely manner to the satisfaction of applicants and/or production schedules.
- Carry out procedures and instructions for tooling in compliance with the IATF-16949:2016 standard.
- Actively participate in process reviews, including joint corrective actions: Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Continuous Improvement, in design needs and manufacturing of tools, gages and parts for machinery.
- Follow-up to designated activities of the engineering department to fulfill the objectives of the department and the plant.
**Background & Skills**:
- Mechanical engineering, Industrial or related,
- Knowledge in automotive production processes, assembly and machining.
- Handling mechanical designs, definition (symbols and tolerances).
- Experience in handling design software: CAD (2D, 3D)
- Knowledge of products related preferably to the automotive industry.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in tool management applied to Production Processes.
- Management of at least 1 year with suppliers of special tool machining workshops.
- English advanced level.
- Knowledge in continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of and compliance with the IATF16949 standard.
