Summary:
The USAID Office in Mission in Mexico is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for a **USAID Project Management Specialist (Energy and Environmental Finance)** position.

**Duties**:
The Project Management Specialist (Energy and Environmental Finance) is located in the Office of Sustainable Development (OSD), USAID/Mexico and works under the direct supervision of the OSD Director and/or his/her designee.

**Education**:University degree in a field relevant to the position, such as energy, development/sustainable finance, environmental economics, international affairs/development, public policy/administration, or other related fields is required.

**Experience**: A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible work experience in program design and management, budget management, oversight, evaluation and implementation of projects and/or programs, specifically related to clean energy, energy efficiency, and/or climate finance with donor organizations, government institutions, diplomatic missions, or non-governmental development organizations is required. Strong experience in building public-private partnerships and engaging and collaborating with the private sector on environmental-related issues.
**Skills and Abilities (this may be tested)**: The incumbent must be self-motivated and possess an entrepreneurial, goal-oriented approach to assistance, including an ability to think strategically, operate independently, and set and achieve ambitious targets. Ability to undertake market analyses, and conceptualize, negotiate, and implement private sector partnerships. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, demonstrating tact, diplomacy, and poise with a range of professional counterparts at all levels. Ability to understand incentive structures and engage and persuade senior-level executives and stakeholders. Ability to absorb and synthesize a broad range of information, including financial, regulatory, scientific, programmatic, and demographic information. Ability to produce high quality work, often under time pressure and in complex situations with little direction. Must be able to adapt and respond to changing work priorities. Supervisory and management skills to support staff in achieving Office and Mission objectives. A good working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) is required.
