Job OverviewOversee the department's timely delivery of medical Information request, serial articles, book chapters, patents and other Information center documents.Essential Functions- Effectively delegates document delivery tasks to support or backup staff during periods of high document demand and time away from work- Order new journals, claim journals and managed of the library/journals resources databases- Track the status of all journals utilizing automated library software.
Work closely with the vendorto address serial issues- Assists coworkers with developing links to the full text of electronic journals- To receive and return acknowledgment of medical information requires received by mail- To enter medical information anquiries into the medical information database- Keep updated on technological innovations within the document delivery area- To generate daily, weekly and monthly MI reports- Manage and track invoices for medical information services as required- Help mantain the library of FAQ and Standard Pesponse documents within the Medical Information Database- Assist with the development and improvement of medical information processes and procedures**Qualifications**:- High School Diploma or equivalent 4 years of experience in medical information/library center of customer service or equivalent combination of education Req- Proven administrative experience Req- Customer service experience Pref- Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel Req- Bibliographic database management Pref
