Bom Specialist

The CAD & BOM specialist will work closely with Vertiv's global new product development Engineering team and the custom Integrated Modular Solutions (IMS) Engineering team. These Engineering teams are responsible for the design of modular Power and IT Data Centers Modules and create design and manufacturing drawings and the associated BOMs. This position will be responsible for the release of the design documentation and designed BOM entry into a regional PLM and ERP systems. This will include cross functional team support throughout the development and release process.

**CAD and Bill Of Material (BOM) Specialist
The CAD & BOM specialist will work closely with Vertiv's global new product development Engineering team and the custom Integrated Modular Solutions (IMS) Engineering team. **Essential job functions**:

- Prepares, checks and releases design documentation that will satisfy requirements for completion date, performance and reliability.
- Responsible for documentation methods that ensures high levels of productivity.
- Part Number, BOM Creation, Configuration Creation / Input and maintenance.
- Process Flow Documentation and Design (PLM and ERP).

**Requirements**:

- Minimum equivalent 3 years' experience
- Proficient in 3D modeling and 2D drafting required, preferably Solid Edge, Inventor and/or CREO
- Proficient in Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T) techniques.
- Experience creating and sustaining a structured bills of materials in PLM and ERP systems required.
- Demonstrates excellent listening and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Works independently and is highly motivated to initiate and accept new challenges.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Exhibits appropriate attributes in all aspects of performance and demeanor. Accuracy, results orientation, planning, effective information management
- Positive attitude for Teamwork

**Preferences**:

- Knowledge of Data Center Design and associated equipment
- Knowledge of sheet metal and metal fabrication processes
