Neogen a leading company in animal safety and food safety is looking for an Controller for North Latam.The Financial Controller for North Latam is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing corporate accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting, while driving the development and enforcement of robust internal controls and policies.
As a key member of the finance leadership team, this role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial operations and plays a critical role in financial risk management, strategic planning, and operational efficiency.
The Financial Controller will collaborate cross-functionally to support organizational goals and maintain the highest standards of financial governance.Responsibilities:The Controller will take full responsibility for leading and managing all key accounting functions, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies is critical to this role.
Additionally, the Controller will oversee the accurate and timely preparation, review, and publication of financial statements, while coordinating the submission of regulatory reports and filings to meet local, state, and federal requirements.This position involves the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure operational excellence.
The Controller will also lead and support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.
Collaborating with department heads, the Controller will play a key role in developing, monitoring, and controlling operational and capital budgets to ensure alignment with the company's financial goals.The role requires proactive research and resolution of technical accounting issues to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
The Controller will also liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate successful audits and inspections, while documenting and strengthening business processes and accounting policies.
This individual will contribute to long-term financial planning and strategy, focusing on quality control over financial transactions and reporting, and monitoring operational expenses to meet budgetary targets.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree accounting or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.Strong understanding of financial principles, cost accounting, and financial modeling.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills,Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with SAPAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.#J-18808-Ljbffr
