Project Summary: For the Protection of Human Rights Defenders and Journalists (PDP) is a program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). PDP aims to contribute to improving the institutional and operational capacity of governmental and non-governmental actors involved in the protection of human rights defenders and journalists. Through this program, it is intended to support the generation of a safer civic space for the exercise of freedom of expression and the defense of rights. PDP will work through August 2026 and engages with counterparts and allies at the federal and state levels. **Please note: Only Mexican citizens are eligible for this position.**Position Summary: The Civil Society Organization (CSO) Capacity Strengthening Facilitators will provide training sessions to people from civil society organizations, public servants of protection or law enforcement bodies in a variety of topics such as: human rights, gender mainstreaming, freedom of expression, legal argumentation, protection of defenders of land, territory and the environment, risk analysis, context analysis, attention to victims, negotiation skills, teamwork, conflict resolution, work ethics, self-care, interrogation and cross-examination, forensic victimology, prevention, tools for emotional health, digital security tools, journalism and human rights advocacy, consensus building and group facilitation.
