Desktop Support Engineer

Job Description and Requirements:Assist Site lead and main contacts to make sure that the site has minimum downtime due to IT issues.Active Directory domain administrator role.Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 administration.WSUS patching of the Microsoft environment.O365 administration.Administer Commvault Backup system or similar backup technology.Maintain and administer Linux computing environments including computer hardware, system software, application software, and all configurations.Troubleshoot performance issues in a responsive manner.Work on multiple projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader.Manage networking systems and server patches and updates.Collaborate with multiple levels of business and IT management while running projects.Interpret business requirements and develop technical solutions to internal and external systems.Manage and set up hardware and resolve user issues.Qualifications:5+ years of experience in system admin, network, and O365 environments.Scripting tools such as PowerShell and VBScript.Knowledge of SAN storage utilization and administration.Full "SME" knowledge of Microsoft products such as Office and Exchange.Experience architecting infrastructure for highly available, highly scalable enterprise systems.Must have a strong understanding of best practices for secure systems design and scalable fault-tolerant architecture.Strong scripting skills (Powershell preferred).Preferred 3+ years' experience administering VMWare 6.X and spinning up VMs of all OS flavors.Cloud computing experience beneficial.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
