**This role**
The Global Payroll Director is responsible for developing and executing the global payroll strategy across multiple countries and regions on a global scale, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and driving process improvements and systems.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the global payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing for multiple countries and regions ( Latam, United States, Africa and SE Asia)
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, social security and statutory requirements in each jurisdiction.
- Drive the implementation, optimization, and integration of payroll systems and technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, legal and IT, to align payroll processes with organizational objectives.
- Prepare and oversee payroll audits, managing relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders for audits and compliance checks.
- Stay ahead of changes in global payroll regulations and practices, adapting policies and processes as needed.
- Develop and implement global payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure consistent practices and compliance.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess payroll performance and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on payroll-related matters, including cost management and process improvements.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in managing relationships with global payroll service providers, with at least 3 years in a global or multi-country payroll role; in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
- Proven experience implementing and scaling payroll systems in a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of global payroll compliance, statutory deductions, tax rates, social security requirements, and benefits regulations in multiple countries, particularly in LATAM and the US.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent understanding of HRIS systems and their integration with payroll systems.
- Strong analytical skills to assess payroll data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding of data protection regulations and confidentiality requirements in handling employee information.
