5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field- Experience in professional communications or public relationsAmazon is seeking a creative, high judgement, well-connected, and self-motivated Public Relations (PR) professional, to join our Corporate Communications PR team in Mexico City, Mexico.Reporting into the Head of Corporate Communications in Mexico, this role will partner and collaborate with key business leaders and stakeholders to design, develop, and execute communications programs across Amazon's Corporate and Operations business areas, working on different topics such as: sustainability, economic impact & community engagement, logistics, workplace, employee benefits, corporate narratives, etc.Key job responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic communications and public relations programs to drive Amazon's reputation among external key stakeholders in the county such as: government officials, thought leaders, local associations, media opinion leaders.- Develop and execute corporate comms campaigns, reputational reports, announcements, launches and evergreen contents.- Build and develop solid relationships with media.- Manage workstreams with diverse external agencies- Create holistic campaigns in the earn, paid, owned ecosystem.- Be responsive and strategic in managing potential local issues related to Amazon's reputation.- Develop mechanisms to help scale coverage, tracking, media relations, and other core team functions.- Help manage an external public relations agency on programs, budget and day-to-day matters.- Successfully manage fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges.- Write strategic business plans that include campaign and tactics, coordinating and supervising the work with the agency.- Lead the development of press materials & PR features, such as media pitches, press releases, blogs, visuals, infographics, among others.- Ability and willingness to travel to locations across Mexico and Americas.- Public Relations experience preferably in Corporate and Sustainability Communications.- Excellent media relations, especially with Business and General media.- Team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.- Attention to detail and bias for action.- Experience developing mechanisms or processes to help simplify work.- Ability to earn trust with diverse, multidisciplinary stakeholders.- Ability to successfully partner with teammates located around the world.
