Product Development Engineer

The Interior Trim D&R (Design & Release) Engineer is responsible to design, develop, validate and release Interior Trim parts under his/her responsibility for the assigned programs. The potential components include, but are not limited to interior trim components such as door trim, hard trim, soft trim and overhead systems. The D&R is also responsible to look for design improvements to increase quality and cost / weight optimization. The D&R engineer is responsible to design parts in order to comply with Corporate and Local Requirements for parts validation, considering the WCR (Worldwide Customers Requirements), ES (Engineering Specifications) and SDS (Systems Design specifications) as well as the Manufacturing and Assembly requirements. The engineer is also responsible of parts incorporation at the Assembly Plant.Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering Bachelor Degree or equivalentMicrosoft Office management (Word, Excel and Power Point)CAD: CATIA, Teamcenter Knowledge- Experience working with plastic (injection moulding) automotive components, interior trim commodities preferred.- Comply with Robustness Engineering Disciplines (Quality History, P - Diagram, FMEA, etc)- Lead the Sourcing Process (Team of 4), SA, ED&T review, piece and tooling cost review and CPA.- Launch Experience- Design verification knowledge (testing)
