Objective of the position
The holder of this position provides technical support in all matters related to Customs and ensures that Draexlmaier America is Customs compliant.
Support includes but is not limited to: definition, development and implementation of new Customs processes
Principal activities
Provides documentation of current Customs procedures for North America.
Ensures complete Customs compliance within Draexlmaier America sites, including record keeping, documentation, product labeling.
Performs spot checks and audits at divisional facilities as it applies to FTA (Free Trade Agreements).
Manage, control and trace dates and deadlines to comply with the revalidations and renewals of certifications and/or permits in Mexico
Work with all sites of the region to achieve Customs Certifications and special security certifications programs such as CTPAT & OEA
Receive, convert and record all Glosa Reports for historic data and KPI control
Provides support to the Customs Key User area to ensure the Management, Control and Adjustments on the inventory control system is correctly followed up.
Act as the interface between Customs Operations and other departments synchronizing communication and priorities formulating policies and procedures to ensure Customs compliance.
Participation in new location setups/programs in regards to Customs compliance.
Provides support on the process development of general special permissions needed by Operations department to import/export any type of goods or to comply with any kind of law non
- tax regulation (SEDENA, SEMARNAT, SAT, SE, NOM's etc).
Process and provide the Reports of Origin to customers.
Collect and audit all FTA Certificates from local vendors on a yearly basis for virtual operations and issue the corresponding internal certificates between companies of the Group
Regulation of all activities related to Customs to ensure all processes are followed within the IMMEX legal frame (Annex 24, Annex 31, etc)
To be always up to date in all legal changes, new regulations and processes dictated by Mexican Authorities.
Set up process flow and implement at an operational level the needed procedures.
Collect and store the Positive Opinion (SAT) from the local suppliers and generate internal corporate Positive Opinion (DCM, DPM, DIM, DPA) for purposes needed (monthly basis).

SAP is a must
