Senior associates will cultivate and enhance their pre-existing geopolitical, regional, and sectoral/industry experience.
We expect senior associates to take on greater responsibilities over time, with the support of senior colleagues, including in the areas of client service, business development, and thought leadership.
Following ASG best practices, a senior associate owns the development of written products (e.G., country reports, stakeholder maps, risk analyses) and helps drive product innovation.
They will also support senior colleagues with client communications (written and verbal), according to ability and the team's needs.
Senior associates also support colleagues with administrative matters as necessary.The ideal candidate is highly organized, a skilled writer and analyst, and has a minimum of three to seven years of work experience with a regional focus on the Americas (experience in Brazil, Mexico, and/or Andean countries is a plus).
Professional proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is required.
A solid understanding of business fundamentals and macroeconomics is preferred, given our work at the intersection of public policy, business, and diplomacy.ResponsibilitiesClient Service and Thought Leadership: Supports the practice lead and other senior staff in developing client deliverables, white papers, and other products as needed.
This may include:Actively participates as part of ASG client teams and is expected to have greater direct interactions with clients – with a focus on Spanish-speaking Latin America.Typically leads the development of country reports, briefing memos, client presentations, and stakeholder maps.Conducts research and supports investigations with local input (including in Spanish and/or Portuguese).Master ASG best practices in research and product delivery, including the use of internal proprietary and diverse sources of public information; with an ability to evaluate competing versions of events or asymmetrical understanding of crucial factors.Cultivates greater geopolitical, regional, functional, or sector/industry expertise applicable to the team's client engagements.Plays a significant role in the team's knowledge management, including helping to identify and archive resources and examples of superior ASG deliverables.Assists in directing ASG interns and other colleagues to collaborate on producing agreed-upon products.
Helps to train interns and full-time staff during onboarding, and conducts follow-up when necessary
