.**WHS PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & COMMERCIALIZATION SUPERVISOR****OVERVIEW**- This position is responsible for providing organization and structure to support Western Hemisphere Sourcing team focused on PD/Commercialization. Partnering with the Product Development teams in Lawrence and Miami, the WHS PD/COM Supervisor will oversee sample development tracking as well as initial order placements & material testing for all WHS product. This person should be fluent in English and Spanish in order to provide effective communication of the business needs._**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**This person will have responsibility managing relationships and processes with our Western Hemisphere Sourcing factories. To do this, s/he will:- Coordinate and supervise sample development with WHS.- USA PD will send sample request & corrections directly to factory. This person will provide clarification and interpretation of sample request needs and communication any additional information as needed.- Review development and GSS samples to ensure factory sends quality samples for review/approval.- When necessary, provide communication of sample comments and feedback to factories where English/Spanish language barriers exist.- Communicate program quantities, production NLT's & size run information in order to negotiate FC and secure best pricing.- Responsible for working with the factories and providing the target timing to hit requested NLT dates.- Responsible for commercialization process including technical review, EMS (customs classification system) & fitting prior to pre-production.- Responsible for ensuring proper packaging, product labels and stuffing follow Payless guidelines within Quality Works.- Manage physical & chemical testing (RSL & CPSC testing adherence) with the factories through third party lab (ITS) to comply with Payless standards.- Understand U.S. and Latin American duty to help factory comply based on the destination of the product.- Review finesse assessment scorecards within QualityWorks to understand buyer comments/concerns on GSS samples.- Partner with factories & WHS Topeka Analyst to populate and update the WHS factory tracker to provide clarity of sample status, costing, etc. throughout the development/reorder process.- Support our WHS team in different tasks when need it.**QUALIFICATIONS**- A 4 year degree is preferred.- At minimum, 5 years footwear/factory work experience with strong multi-tasking capabilities.- Prior international experience working with U.S. footwear companies preferred.- Fluent in written & spoken English & Spanish.- Effective understanding of cultural diversity & good intercultural communication.- Highly organized, good communicator**.**- Pro-active, self-motivated.- Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.- Effective prioritizing and time management skills.- Able to travel domestically and internationally 30% of the time
